Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of World Whiz Kids at worldwhizkids.com (the “Site”), operated as a sole proprietorship by Matthew Sorenson (“we,” “us,” or “the operator”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

The Site is designed for families to explore together. Accounts are for parents and guardians only — children never create accounts or sign in directly. If you create an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create. You are responsible for supervising your children's use of the Site.

Accounts are optional and free, and use passwordless “magic link” sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Contact). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Site or its infrastructure;
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data about other users or children;
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute Site content except as expressly permitted;
• Upload or transmit malware or any harmful or deceptive code.

The Site provides educational and cultural content, activities, and printables for general informational purposes. We work to keep content accurate and respectful, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free, and it is not a substitute for a formal curriculum or professional advice.

As an Amazon Associate, the operator earns from qualifying purchases. Some links on the Site (for example, book links) are affiliate links: if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we believe fit the Site's educational mission. Purchases are made on third-party sites (such as Amazon) under those sites' own terms and privacy policies; we are not the seller and are not responsible for those transactions.

The Site, including its text, activities, illustrations, stamp and passport designs, logos, and software, is owned by the operator or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Printables and other materials are provided for personal, non-commercial family and classroom use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or use Site content commercially without our prior written permission. Some images are used under licenses (such as Creative Commons) and credited to their authors where required.

We are COPPA-conscious by design. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; kid profiles hold only a parent-chosen display name and avatar, and public surfaces never display a child's full name. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for access to the Site (the Site is free to use, so this amount is typically zero).

The Site relies on third-party providers (such as hosting, database, email, and affiliate partners) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those third parties.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator's state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
